TAINTED LINE CLEANING
Don't let exotic flavors limit your options.
Some of the exotic flavor profiles in the products served in kegs continue to push the boundaries of what can be served on tap. These flavors inevitably end up tainting tubing and hardware, meaning that the flavor of a drink that was replaced weeks ago can still be tasted in any new drink that is poured through that same equipment. Often, this danger is the main reason draft system owners do not put these drinks on tap in the first place.
The Beer Medics Tainted Line Cleaning (TLC) process was created during our work with Dry Dock Brewery in 2011. As a part of our service for them, we created a cleaning process that would allow customers to serve their famous Dry Dock Apricot Blonde ale with confidence that it would not taint their draft beer systems. Years later, the TLC continues to be effective and is now capable of removing spiced flavors, fruit flavors, liquor flavors, and more. Even systems that have dealt with a lingering flavor for up to one year have been successfully serviced.
Contact Beer Medics if you are currently having problems with flavor tainted lines or have concerns that your system may become tainted depending on the type of drink you're thinking about serving.
